Preparation time

It’s been awhile since I’ve been on here. I just have a quick thought to share today.

I’m reminded of how in the Bible, not-so-great circumstances were often used by God as times of preparation. I just finished reading about Joseph. His being sold into slavery (by his brothers), being lied on (by Mrs. Potiphar) which landed him in prison, and being forgotten about in prison (by the King’s cupbearer) were all terrible circumstances. He was let down so many times. But they were his preparation. Not only did it allow him to be in the “right” place at the right time for his exaltation, it was also an important preparing ground. His faithfulness, which led to him being put in charge of all of Potiphar’s affairs, then later being in charge at the prison, gave him valuable training for eventually being put in charge of an entire nation!

Know that wherever you are going through at the moment, God is preparing you for something greater. Always be faithful!
